Hello! I have a question that I was hoping to get some feed back. My daughter will be 1 on dec 7. She is breastfed, however she will be switching from the infant class in daycare to the toddler class and I am not allowed to send breast milk with her and I do not want to put her on Whole milk. She does great with coconut milk since she can't have nut milk yet and cannot have it in school either. My question is I will still breastfed first thing in the morning and at night to go to sleep which is our normal. But if I don't pump during the day since she won't be using the milk will I dry up? What will happen if on the weekends during the day and she wants to nurse will I still produce if I am still breast feeding in the morning and evening? Thank you so much!!

Your body produces on a need basis. So if you are breastfeeding frequently on the weekend you will have a better chance at keeping your supply. You can still use the pump to trick your body into making more milk. If you are exclusively breastfeeding which is what I did eventually the gravy train will dry out but it takes longer than what most people think. If however you only breastfeed one time a day your supply will start to go down. Hope this helps!
