Is it possible for a 6 week old to be on a nursing strike? At 5 weeks and 5 days my daughter started to refuse the breast. At first I thought it was reflux and tried to nurse with her upright but now if shes fully awake i can barely get her to nurse. We can only get a successful latch when she is sleeping or about to wake up but I just dont feel like she is getting enough. When I have time to pump I do, and bottle feed it to her in the day when shes showing hunger cues but doesnt want to latch.

Do you normally feed at the breast or have you been doing the bottle more recently?

If you are doing the bottle more, are you pace feeding her?  Make sure to pace feed anytime you give the bottle.  You want to make a bottle of 1-1.25 oz last 15-20 minutes.  Every .5 oz ate, you want to stop and burp her.  You can look up some pace feeding too.

I am not sure if you're on any facebook groups but I hope you got your answer earlier.  I see it's been 7 days.  [frown]
