I had my second son 5 days ago. I've been thrilled about breastfeeding my whole pregnancy because of how awesome my experience with my first was. However, from second latch in the hospital I noticed things were very different this time. .. the happy high that I remembered with my first son was replaced with an overwhelming sense of anxiety and homesickness. It doesn't last for long and goes away when I stop feeding/pumping But it happens every time. From researching online it seems like this would be a case of DMER. I'm going to talk to my Dr about it this week but was wondering how common it is, if it goes away, if those who have experienced it have tried things that really seemed to help? I've so been looking forward to breastfeeding so I'm really bummed. It's going perfect so far other than the nasty emotional parts.
