I'm 18 days in to breastfeeding my 2nd baby (first one I ended up pumping for 11 weeks due to latching and health issues). I have some familiarity since I tried this the first time as well, but now that I'm having "success" I'm facing new questions. My nipples are definitely still very sore and cracked, but latching has improved. Now I face a lot of sensitivity in the breast. No warmth or discoloration so I'm hoping this is just my breast adjusting to the right amount of milk production. Does this seem normal? I'm not really engorged or hardened, just sore/sensitive. I read a lot about how it shouldn't be painful, but I also know a lot of women had pain to work through in the beginning. Thoughts / advice?
Thanks!!

Thx! Nipple shields were recommended and helped reduce pain. And I used coconut oil too... which seemed to help as well! [smile] 11+ weeks and still BF'ing
