My daughter will be 1 month on Wednesday. I have been breastfeeding/pumping since we were in the hospital. My main was only to pump. When my milk came in I was pumping an ounce every 2-3 hours. She is now eating about 3 and a half ounces and I am not even making an ounce every 2-3 hours. The last 2 weeks I have made lactation cookies, drank Gatorade, increased my water intake, started taking brewers yeast and was nursing before every pump session. I have had to sumplement with formula because I have ran out of breast milk and she is not getting satisfied just from nursing, while supplementing I was still pumping and nursing. I just don't know what to do. It have taken my life over by trying to get my supply up and I feel like such a terrible mother giving her formula. I just want to be able to provide for my child and I don't know what else I can do.

Well around this time she is probably going through a growth spurt and babies are constantly hungry around this time I would just try nursing as often as possible because when the baby is on the boob it is different then when pumping they are actually getting more breastfeeding isn't easy you are doing the best you can and that's all that matters if you have to supplement then that's okay you are a good mother because you are making sure your baby is getting enough food and that's all that's important

Also try other things like burping her frequently and walking her around sometime doing different things might help
