Hello,
I've got a 3 week old and breastfeeding is going well, but I leak like crazy out of the side I'm not nursing on while baby is on the other side. Do you have any suggestions of what I can use to absorb the leaks? I was using disposable nursing pads, but going through them so quickly. I've tried reusable diapers, towels and face cloths, but I find i soak through them if I'm not paying attention and they start to smell if I try to use them for more than one feeding. Any suggestions that anyone has would be so greatly appreciated.
Also, if anyone can recommend a reusable nursing pad for general wear too that would be wonderful. Thank you so much!

hi there, i used to have the same problem and had to go to sleep with 12 breastpads in a nursing sleep bra 6 on each side every night and i would wake up saturated every night!! it did slow down and eventually i only needed 2 on each side but it was awful at first! with my 2nd it was not too bad but with my 3rd it was the same, so i got reusuable breastpads off amazon they were made with bamboo washable which always helps and i didnt leak with them even though they were not really thick. Lansinoh breast pads were the most comfortable for me and they had a plastic type backing so the milk could not leak through the material like most of the other breastpads, they were more expensive but did the trick i also used to put the lansinoh nipple cream on after feeding mainly for pain and id recommend it to anyone for breastfeeding troubles its amazing stuff!! but it has a slight waterproof use to it which also helped stop the leaking too much and i found when my breasts leaked it made me sore like when its winter and if you lick your lips too much they get chapped. anyway hopethis helps a little! [smile]
